From memory, you still have to insert the key to remove the lock barrel. Darren

Yes it does have the little pin to press in, you need to have a better look using a torch as its not immediately visible. Once you've found it you then need to use a right angled pick or a suitable Allen key to get to the pin & depress it. As LRA says though you'll probably need a key in it to be able to remove the barrel, although from memory I got the one out of mine by winding a small self tapping screw into the key slot & using a small pair of vice grips to pull it out thanks to the lock barrel being all gummed up! |

thought id give an update so others know in the future. The new style lock does have a pin to depress before removing the barrel but it is now inside the lock, accessible from the slot where the central locking rod goes. You will also need to drill the lock to remove the tumblers if you dont have a key because the tumblers and the retianing pin need to be depressed before the barrel will slide out, the key depresses the tumblers and the pin is manually depressed.
