Liverpool Victoria £208 (2011 2.4 110 CSW, a few years' NCB). 365 days/year full European cover, a deal-maker for me 'cos I'm in France five or six months each year. Probably more than 183 days/year out of the UK post-Brexit, but that brings its own problems of course.

That’s higher than mine. Mid 20s, a few accidents in a short span 3 years ago (not at fault x 2, ongoing x1), no points on liscence, no criminal convictions, only 2 years ncd. I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/

What risk are they talking about? Something specific to you? Loads of us are insured with A Plan so would be good to know some more specifics...

IN my experience, biggest factor is post code. Underwriters seem to suddenly take a dislike to certain post codes. I have once had a massive hike like the Op, and once a company decline to renew and on both occasions i was told it was because my post code had suddenly become too risky. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

A plan premium this ear £580.00 with an agreed value of £18.000. I have heard though because of the fact that LR has stopped production and with the number of Defenders stolen a lot of insurers are refusing to insure. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

A PLAN Insurance gave no initial explanation for the HUGE increase save a change in underwriter. I've had no claims in 9 years!! No points on my license, I'm over 50. Vehicle is tracked with loads of security layers.
They have since DM'd me to say that the underwriter now considers my postcode risky (central London). Funny when I all I read about is thefts in Yorkshire, Wales, Midlands etc. Anyway A PLAN are unfortunately not as good as I'd assumed over the years. They are just a broker at the mercy of the underwriters they work with and clearly have little sway with them. 2015 110 XS CSW Montalcino Red with Black Pack |

Post code risk is not based solely on the theft of all defenders, but is based on the risk of all cars. Said risk doesn’t just include theft, it includes, hit and runs, road traffic accidents, number of speeding people, amount of traffic, arson, criminal damage etc. Don’t forget other factors such as increasing or decreasing mileage. 9000miles is the sweet spot even if you don’t do that many. A Plan have quoted me £265, a bit more than Aviva @ £246 now.,
Interestingly, LV finally declined to quote on my 90 " Landmark models and said it is not on their list. Their list is obviously different to others. My insurance is full comp. with a £200 total excess.2 drivers, full NCB and SD & P . I would suggest that you contact Aviva direct.not via a broker. A couple of negative reports from the chaps on here re:claim hassle but they all see to be a grasping bunch at the end. I have yet to come across an insure that everyone likes. NFU insure my house and contents but will take my eyes out on the car! At least with Aviva this will give you a starting point. Despite 9yrs NCB, being over 50, lots of security and doing under 8000 miles the factors negatively affecting my insurance are
a) location Central London b) mods (suspension, engine tune, wider tyres, spots etc) c) business use Like for like quotes received are: A-Plan - £3773 Aviva - £2158 LV - £1667 Adrian Flux - £1256 Heritage, Lancaster, NFU & Admiral all can't quote. Can anyone suggest someone else? 2015 110 XS CSW Montalcino Red with Black Pack |

Yes, but as I have suspension mods,(Alive comfort set up), Remap to 150 and an age of 20 + over yours , it must be the location as business use would have increased mine by £20. My initial quote had business use included which was a mistake and the premium came down by £20 when it was removed. I am in the age group apparently where premiums are increasing as I become more senile
Hunt around , or try other brokers like Gott & Wynn , 01492 870991 1983 Series 3 Pick up in Marine Blue 1967 Morris Traveller 1966 Morris Convertible 2012 VW T5 Camper Quod Abundat Non Obstat. |
