Hello
Just wanted to clarify as we have spoken to Acuss01 and explained our hands are tied with his particular risk - in regards to no initial explaination apart from offering a change in insurer I'm presuming this is in reference to the renewal invitation letter that is sent as renewal approaches and requests you call in to discuss the renewal and that we will be in touch.
As I said, our hands are tied with this particular risk and I'm not able to disclose the exacts of that risk due to the privacy of the poster - but I can confirm that the risk was referred to insurers and management to try and find a more suitable alternative. We remain competitive with the majority of members here who are happily insured through ourselves and as I've said before, unfortunately we can't win them all That being said it's often not just one contributing factor that causes insurers to withdraw from a particular risk but a combination of a few (i.e. not just a post code) - we have many insurers on our panels but as with all specialist insurance policies there are requirements for specific schemes they have available and if these are not met then we cannot put the risk with that insurer.
It's a shame to lose you Acuss01 and as I've said, if we can help in future then we'd be happy to have you back as insurers amend their schemes all the time so just because we can't help this year doesn't mean we won't be able to help again. We can't win them all or there would be no insurance market, which is why even on our renewal letters we are open about looking around at renewal.
Thanks
