Puma Rear Top Brake Lights
I noticed my third brake light is not illuminate when I pressed on the brakes. Thought it was the bulb. Changed to a new one and still no light. Fuse 15amp for the brakes is fine. What else can go wrong? Where is the earth location for the brake lights? Any ideas? Thanks. [/img]

Check the tracks on the rear window particularly where they pass under the plastic brake light cover. They are prone to being rubbed through.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Only bad thing I found is this. It seem it didn’t have a good contact. It seem I need a solder iron for this.

Or you could do it the easy way with 1xM 1xF connectors and a suitable length of cable which can be inserted between glass and rubber seal, replacing the need for the fragile printed track Thumbs Up

Did exactly that. Was waiting for my multimeter to arrive. Apparently earth on the element seems dead. So new cables and while at it installed a new LED brake light. Thanks for the help.
