Not only that, I don't mind the "Audi Boys" turning up on their $5+ bikes that is just a fad and will probably only ride them 3 or 4 times.
It puts money into the manufacturers which helps make the technology filter down through cheaper bikes making them accessable to all! Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

Really? Funny I mentioned it then! Sounds like a nice build - shiny CK bits would go well with that frame! I had thought it would be fun to join up road routes with bridleways & farm tracks, so a CX would be useful, but thinking about it, I guess I can get a better spec road bike for less £ than a light-build CX. My budget for a road bike would be less than grand - I've seen carbon ones on Wiggle for that, but prolly best stick with a proven aluminium bike though for that money, would you think? Proper Tri bikes are mega-bucks - and for people faster/younger/fitter/richer than me! The road bike I borrowed for the Tri was a £400 Dawes (about 2 sizes too small for me), I don't think a better bike will make me faster, but at least I could get one that fits me! Sorry this is going a little off the mtb thread - I'll get a picture of mine! |

Jesus, this is like reading another langauge
Errr..... my bikes (god knows what make, it's just Grey!) has just been recommissioned after 2 house moves and 14 years stuffed in a shed/garage. Rusty as feck and the tyre side walls are splitting. Amazingly, the tyres pumped up okay, the gears etc all shift perfectly after a light oiling. A quick wipe down with the miracle that is ACF50 and it actually looks half decent. Two laps around the garden on it however and I fell off whilst trying to avoid an over enthusiastic Lab....So the bike has gone back in the garage and it can now rot for all I care. Think I'll stick to walking the dog and driving the Defender. Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

Just had to have a week off due to tonsillitis (ARRGHH!!) but back in the saddle this morning and loved it.
X-isle or anyone else - of you're ever in Cornwall, I know a lot of excellent but little known routes. Everything from fast singletrack to nutty DH stuff (which I leave mostly to others) - also the most mental jump I have EVER seen - only two have done it. 30ft drop, horrible landing, completely bonkers. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |
