Fusebox main feed cover
Please could someone advise how to get the protective cover of the main feed terminal at the back of the drivers seat fusebox?

I want to put another connection on to it.

Thanks

I had this fight earlier. In the end I undid the 3 10mm bolts lifting the whole panel up enough to see the cover better. Two prongs need pushing inwards and sliding towards the drivers door. 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

Yep.

It is the lump of plastic at the front of this photo borrowed from eBay:

I found a better picture of the cover. Anyone know what to do with it to remove without breaking?

The picture I posted above looks like it has bits broken of it.

Thats exactly as mine looked, so I dont think yours has anything missing.

The clip running left/right needs pushing in, and there is the same on the back also. They are stiff and fiddly to come off, and I suspect they may even be a one time use item, but mine has slide back on no problem.

The pegs at the bottom are the slide guides 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

I did indeed!

Basic Instruction:
Loosen battery main positive terminal
Switch ignition on and off
Within 15 sec remove main battery positive terminal.
Undo the three bolts holding the fuse box in place.
Lift up the fuse box so you get better access to the terminal

Insert a short flat blade jewelers type screw driver under the pin in the direction of the red arrow for both the top and bottom pin (bottom not visible in photo) .
Slide the cover off in the direction of the yellow item.

I'd have thought that conduit should go to under that plastic cover under that brown cable.
That is leaving that section of cable more lulnerable than it should need to be for no valid reason. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
