Same as Solihull and Wolverhampton
The only thing i would trust stratstone to do is get it wrong and make the problem worse Mike |

Nobody has really answered the question there, yet...
What exactly makes stratstone, or indeed any dealership, bad, insincere, liars, fools etc. |

Not doing work they say they will
Saying they have done work they havent Bodging repairs/not completing the proper repair Not communicating with the customer Not having a basic grasp of the cars they sell/service/maintain then causing errors etc because of that Not respecting the customer Making the same mistake more than twice Not helping the customer Not recording items as they should be recorded Not undertaking repairs correctly meaning the repair doesnt last Not preparing for the repair and then not allowing the correct time for the repair Keeping the car, but not actually doing any work to it and then returning it Damaging the car whilst in there posession Doing work on the car that damages it Not checking work before it is signed off as customer ready Not understanding what TOPIx is and then not using it to check work/actions or processes/service bulletins Is that enough of a list for you - its what happened to me an my defender from them Mike |

The one in Durham was equally as bad before it closed.
I will never use Stratstones again which is a shame as I know 2 of the local sales guys outside of the dealership. |

Just for balance I use Stratstones Pickering and find them very helpful, I get to talk with the mechanic and often get things done on short notice. Often a lot of dealers are just interested in the Disco and Range Rover brigade and don't really have a history of looking after or understanding Defenders or their owners.
