Thanks Steve. Looks neat but also looks as if it is secured to the transfer box so if it bellied out the weight of the vehicle would be borne by the transfer box mounts though, or am I missing something?
I think I'm preferring the look and design of the Terrafirma underbody plate TF882 or the Safari Equipment equivalent, both of which I think are chassis mounted. https://www.safari-equip.co.uk/defender-pu...ender.html I haven't seen either in the flesh and would welcome any feedback. |

Well yes, but it's designed to deflect and if that close would hit the handbrake drum anyway but I do see your point.
However, the other version being aluminium I wouldn't be too keep on either that's the drawback. I'd have to toss up the idea of impact possibly to the transfer box area or possibly ripping holes in the chassis. Most impacts are jagged and no slide or deflection. (.Can be any but variable.) Difficult one. I know a couple of members here have the D44 one but I do t know if they are on here at the moment. Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes. Big Brother is Watching. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Hi Adam,
Which bit do you mean? The part where we have our Rigid Industry Led spotlights mounted? Click image to enlarge If so then it’s our far corners spot light mount? |

Nigel that is some seriously cool light rig there.
I really want to see a defender with all the lights you can fit to it, so A dLR bumper, DLR light surrounds, double light bar, mirror lights, bumper Aux lights, a bar lights. The full month. Thanks for that. They are all used though, as we do “ Midnight Drives” at our 70 Acre off road course. In reality they never are at Midnight, but you get the idea! Our Woodland course is so far from any local light pollution, that it’s literally hard to see your hand in front of your face. It’s peripheral lighting that’s important when you are in an off Road Woodland at night. So we have four wide beam floods at the top, and the two extra long spots at the bottom to illuminate the track. Then we have the large curved light bar on the roof, which is both flood and spot. Finally we have the full led headlights too. Believe me, they all get used! |

Yes it’s a very nice piece of kit, it’s made by Far Corners, a great product, but the services by the company that makes them is a bit hit and miss. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Ditto above Far Corners do some great work and they are great guys but communication is not their strong point they're alwasy too busy working. Prodcuts are great though so worth persisting and calling is best. James

Discovered Buggsy has a lovely wine that increases with engine revs, pulley or fan bearings it is not a chance of sorting it soon as on the boat with her tomorrow, let’s hope they can last the drive back. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

Replaced the bulb for the fuel gauge
Replaced the turret on the gearbox as there was a rattle, but I think it was the nut on the gearstick that had come lose. Found what I think was the annoying squeak - appears to be a bit of foam in the drivers side seat belt reel rubbing on the seat belt. Replaced the reverse light after I reversed into a post. Found a rust hole on the slanted section of body work (C post?) might need to fix this before the MOT. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |
