Changed reverse light switch. Which by the way was a horrible job

Hi! Just out of curiosity, is that a td5?
Was wondering if I fitted a reverse camera and extra light, whether I would fit the connectors straight to the rear light or whether to run it to the switch... Early days in thoughts yet so havnt even looked where the switch is, but by your picture I'm guessing under the cubby box?

TD5 yes. Get a piggy back loom from MUD and plug it into the reverse light. Will be considerably easier. I have one of them for my work light at the rear that feeds of my standard reverse light wiring.

Cheers bud. Regards
Adam

A bunch of us have been out searching for a friend’s dog that’s been missing since Friday.

Here’s the big man, all 65kgs of him. How something so big can disappear off the face of the earth is beyond me. Shocked

I forgot to mention, as I was abroad at the time, but the big man was discovered after a full week in the mountains. He’d made it down on to a ledge accessible only by rope and not visible from any of the trails or vantage points we covered over the previous 7days. All in all, approx 1000+ man hours spent looking and it’s not a Hollywood Storyline to say that the ledge was the last place to be checked by a mountain guide, last rappell of the last day. He’d lost 6kgs but was otherwise in fine fettle. Thumbs Up

Sorry for the WhatsApp photos.

He’s the one in the middle, not on the right of this picture.

Thank you both, obviously very pleased (owner is the chap in the blue helmet). On the other hand AJC, sorry to hear of your loss in similar circumstances, must have been very tough. Monsieur Le Grenadier

Oh indeed, sorry to hear that AJC.

I didn't see that the first time round. Its dreadful losing a pooch. We lost 2 girls to illness October 2017. one of the hardest things, not being able to help them. Regards

Tow-started the 110 after the starter motor failed yesterday, proceeded to my preferred workshop to change aforementioned item (with some assistance) and the previously battered centre exhaust section, which was replaced by a straight through pipe.

Those factory centre boxes are far too big and hang far too low for my liking.
Straight though centre on mine too, although one day I would lie a cat back system from Alive as it will want replacing eventually. Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.

As Steve says below, the silencer is mahussive and hangs down well below the chassis rails. I was out on a drive around day with JST and bellied it out several times and absolutely Censored it. It had been pushed up so far it was vibrating on the transfer box and was merrily melting its way through the handbrake cable. Happily the low hanging handbrake system seemed invulnerable but I need an underbody plate to keep it still attached to the transfer box. I think I was just lucky this time.

I think this particular silencer is the most vulnerable part so I'm happy with eliminating it so easily. I was really impressed with it - it's a stainless steel Terrafirma TF555 (I think) and only needed to lop off 10mm of the rear hanger to stop it fouling the rear prop on full suspension compression.

I'm not sure how much advantage the Alive system would give me as the standard one is already a decent bore size? My engine is also bone stock so i'd need to do other fiddling before bothering with a new exhaust.

I was also pleased that the lack of silencer hardly made any difference to the sound volume. Very pleased overall.
