hi Roddy yes one years warranty is the norm however you can argue that its not fair ware and tear with so little use you most likely not get a lock fitted for free but a goodwill offer hopefully a chat with Nissan customer services may help

I think a bit of time brushing up on your consumer rights might be time well spent. Some googling and a call to your local citizens advise would be a good start, they have helped me before. From memory, it is whether goods/service are fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. That is subjective and is viewed from the perspective of a mythical "reasonable person". I think, due to the time elapsed, you might struggle, unless you can find some precedent. If they refuse to help, you could got to the small claims court, but again, you would have to show that the goods were not up to scratch and you could lose. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
