Will a rear diff from a 90 fit the rear of a 110?

As above. I cant seem to get a straight answer on this. LR says it wont due to different part numbers. Some indys say it will. Can anyone give me a definitive answer? (please no speculation, just looking to get the final answer as I have a spare diff and a mate with a 110 needs one to replace his failed unit).

Both vehicles are TDCI. the 90 is MY10 and the 110 is MY07

2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Chawton White

Check i) if it is a 4-pinion (2-pin is weaker and not designed for a rear 110"), ii) The front facing nose might be different so you might have troubles with rear prop lenght and bolt pattern. iii) spring seaters.

99% it wont fit, as only a few 90s were fitted /w a 110 compatible one. Yes, you can, BUT unless you are 5,000 miles from a workshop, dont do it.
