Would a stage one grille and headlight surrounds be a direct fit?

Essentially, yes. There will be some holes to fill from where the 110 grill mounts but the biggest problem is that proper Stage 1 grills are like hens teeth. There are also some small brackets for securing the bottom edge required, from memory. It was about 18 years ago that I made the change although ironically, on a genuine Stage1 that the previous owner had fitted a 110 grill to Darren

thanks for that.
The stage one grill that I found was re-manufactured but that shouldn't make a difference I hope. |

The middle row doors are too far gone so it looks like I will have to replace them and since replacing them with push button doors would require alot more work I've found these
https://www.sp-4x4.com/DEFENDER_SERIES_DOO...fconv2.htm My main concern is security, would it be reduced with these windows? I decided to go with an svx front end with 95mm LED's in the back Does anyone here have any experience with the powerfulUK svx style front light kit? |

Long overdue update.
The middle donors that were described as top far gone have since been repaired by a professional welder. It now has a front svx kit. I have also bought a 4.6 rv8 so now need to find an insurer that doesnt mind having a 20 year with a big V8 Pictures are on the way |

brentacre insurance should help you, as they insured my VVC metro i had, which was lot faster, They also insured my defender, so they may see it as not been all that quick, I don't know how fast these are due to the weight. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
