Came across them when looking for LED headlamps.

Hmm, I have to wonder about the legality of these since in effect when reversing you have no indicators or hazards, and I doubt that that is legal.

Vehicle Lighting Regulations clearly has reversing lights as obligatory lights which must have an approval mark.

Note the expression approval mark. No approval mark on an obligatory light means light is not legal.

The approval mark will consist of the country code often called E mark, actual approval number, light function code AR

Under the Road Traffic Act it is an offence to supply, fit or use a defective item on a motor vehicle.

Yep. Not sure about that. Had a quick look at the youtube clip and the presenter comments, when reverse had been selected, that you could see the 'bottom' portion of the lens was lit. This sort of implies there are independent LEDs in there, but it wasn't stated as such.

Just a thought but when I moved here to Slovenia I had to get my Defender checked over to get it registered here. I changed the headlights over to Euro bulbs but had not expected to be asked to also swap the reverse and fog lights over i.e. move each to the other side. Does that have any impact on this?
