Reversing Light
As we all know the reversing light is not that bright or effective. I am looking for any ideas to upgrade and improve its effectiveness. Either a more powerful light unit or an additional light unit (work lamp??). Wiring suggestions would also be appreciated. I currently have a Wipac LED reversing light. Bow down Discovery 4 HSE

I installed a work light on a far-corners LED numberplaye light (which has a mounting hole in it) then just wired it to the reverse light.

They're genuine LED reversing lights as found on limited edition models (made by Perei) 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I have done the same thing on mine except I have the Fog lights on the outside and the reverse on the inside as something was nagging me that the fog light had to be that way this http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1989/1796/schedule/11/made is all I could find on the subject so I presume it dose not matter which way round they are. Don't make old people mad.

It shouldn't matter, I put the reverse lights closest to the outside as I wanted the corners of the vehicle to get the most illumination for reversing Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I didn't have space for a triple mount as it would foul the wheel carrier, so used the KBX twins.
As the fog light isn't used very often I kept to one and moved it to below the bumperette.

I upgraded to a wipack led light, it's brighter, but not bright enough.. I thought about getting a light bar on the back, that can double up as a camping light, and and extra reverse light.

But I like the idea of above 👆 Regards

Had the twin NAS set-up on my 90 since 2001 and they were a definite improvement on the standard light but back in 2009 I replaced them all with Le Perei LED and the output is even better, I have no problems seeing what is behind, even on dark, wet nights.

That's a lovely looking truck.
Might you be able to post a pic of the lights on in the eve?

Id be interested in getting a set.. and how did you piggy back the wire to the second light? and how did you trail the cable, above and around the door or under the door? Regards
Adam

Haven't used them myself as I have twin work lights on the back that I manually switch on when needed, but they might be worth a punt...

Came across them when looking for LED headlamps.
