I can’t quite put my finger on why but I really can’t stand that man, and it bereaves me greatly that he’s so deeply imbedded in land rover Sad

It’s a bit different to when they launched the 80in in 1948 at a few agricultural shows in a muddy field. Rolling with laughter

Yes, I remember reading the Rover cars forum at the time.

Everybody complaining that it did not fit in the range, it was not luxury and comfortable enough, was ugly, what are the designers thinking, etc...

Reading somewhere they have shifted 800,000 so do not want to risk losing repeat & new customers.

I just thought looking at the line up they are now all pretty much the same which is fine but he really is putting all of the LR eggs in one basket, Other mainstream manufacturers such as J**p and Suzuki seem to realise there are all sorts of customers with all sorts of budget and needs and are offering a range of vehicles.

Clearly the Governments confused position on going electric is a risk to LR but I guess they are playing catch up fast.China is also probably hurting them which means less cash to invest in the future.

What they need is a small lightweight 4x4, maybe as a stop gap until the market becomes stable........................lol 2010 XS USW
