So... Deliveries from 2020?

That’s OK - D5 is due to go back in 2021 and Job 1 should be well down the line by the time I need to look at the next vehicle unless lead times are stupid long...

I’ll challenge all the naysayers - yes, it’ll almost certainly be a technological masterpiece, requiring far more to maintain than two 7/16th spanners, but it will be capable over any terrain, setting the standards for capability.

I’d like one please...

"The truth is the world doesn’t need another premium brand doing what all the others do" Felix Bräutigam, Jaguar Land Rover's marketing chief,

Those pictures don't ring true with the statement.
I'd be more impressed if he'd said "Jaguar Landrover doesn't need another premium brand" but that's just what Defender will be.

I don't see that it can be a DC since the load bed would be ridiculously small, as evidenced by the photoshopped image. Unless all pretence of a working vehicle has been abandoned.

Whilst the return of a proper Discovery would be welcome, I really don't see this as a Defender. Since the Freelander became the Discovery there has been scope for a vaguely useful vehicle to be added to the lineup, so perhaps the "Discender" will be it.

I think it looks promising. I don’t want the new model to look like the old one, as something that was a subtle evolution would detract from what we have. I love my 110 so hope they put a silly price on the new to help values on the old.

I quite like the camo - wonder if that’ll be an option Confused

I actually wonder if that is part of a game JLR are playing. Why on earth would they make it so obvious? Either those pictures have little in common in with the real deal or a release is close. I don't know. Saying that i like what i see.m

You have to think with all the copycat versions of the Range Rovers maybe they’re playing their cards very close. I can see it being more of a single cab/Double cab vehicle to compete in that market again, as there’s nothing else in the JLR Range. I think we will be getting something Disco 4 like. All the farmers round here seem to have moved to the Ford Ranger bling things. Utility companies are on the L200s.

IMHO, they've done a pretty good job of covering up what's REALLY "underneath", so for me, too early to call.

Course it could just be an addition to the Discovery range. Wasn't one of Land Rover' s chaps gurgling about several additional models of Discovery?

Could be any old development body that has failed to get any further, just being used to throw everyone off the scent. Who knows? Interesting never the less. 2007 90 Puma - Love it - Best car I have ever owned.
