I just received subject item from Paddocks.
I ordered an OEM one and it looks pretty good relative to the ones I've seen on line but it came in a Britpart box which scares me a bit. It has the brand name "Cannon" on the top of the main harness round connector. Normally I wouldn't expect Chinese copies to have any branding on them. Is this really an OEM manufactured one? Interestingly it seems to have been manufactured in 2012 according to the sticker on the side. Patrick |

ITT Cannon make a huge variety of connectors including MIL spec and Aircraft stuff but who can say if its a genuine part or not ? fakers aren't adverse to stamping brand names onto copies tho as you say usually they don't bother.
Unless you're desperately in need of the truck, it looks like a call to your supplier is in order. Lol Paul beat me to it 3 Landrovers |

Thanks Paul and Swac,
Looking closer at the loom it has the ITT Cannon plug, each of the injector plugs has the Stylized TE logo on them and the wiring looks to have Raychem 16 200C etched on them.....some look like it might be T6 200C On the wiring loom protector there is a sticker with: 51259988 MODK. 14:32 BRD 01 AMR6103 ISSB 020612 Wk 22 Based on the ITT Cannon and Tycho branded connectors that you have quoted and the fact that Raychem wiring is a Tycho brand, (from their website....T6 200C continuous operating in -40 to +200C temps and resistant to all automotive fluids including oil submersion) I'm leaning towards this being a legitimate loom and worth installing from a newbie perspective. Thoughts? Patrick PS...my wife is getting pretty annoyed with me having an automotive wiring loom on the bedside table while I search online. |

Patrick,
From your description, I would say that you have a genuine, or OEM quality harness
She'd probably have a fit at the boxes of connectors, reels of cable, and Land Rover harnesses that I've got piled-up in my house Fortunately for me, my wife has been very understanding (so far) . Paul. 1989 Arles Blue 2.5TD 110 Hardtop 1999 Epsom Green Discovery II 4.0 V8i 'XS' |

Britpart don't do their own version, only OEM
a lot of OEM parts from britpart are now re-packed into britpart boxes with OEM written under the part number. https://www.facebook.com/duckworthparts Send a paypal payment direct using this link www.paypal.me/duckworthparts www.duckworthparts.co.uk My Direct Line: 01673 849873 Email: danroberts@duckworthlandrover.co.uk Supplier of Genuine Land Rover & Jaguar Parts For All Models Can also supply OEM & Aftermarket parts |

I had a couple of Britpart ones and both have been OEM looms.

Same here, it was well known that you could order the harness from Britpart and in the box was an OEM unit, for about half the price of OEM!!
I’ve done it twice. |

I am just curious if these connectors could exclude the leaking problem of the injector harness? Did anyone tried them? LR DEF 110 TD5, 2000. LR DISCO-2 TD5, 2001. ARB Difflocks, front + rear. They only leak if you fail to seal them properly before installation. They will all leak if you fit them as supplied by the manufacturer, since they are being used in a way in which the manufacturer did not intend.

FWIW (And I am not defending Britpart). Because it came in a Britpart box does not mean it is not genuine . Britpart supplies OEM, genuine, and pattern parts. Generally speaking Britpart brand is pattern. Regardless, seal the plug hole with “Right stuff” sealant when you reassemble it.
