Thanks dorsetsmith, I've ordered a pair of genuine LR ones and at £92.40 each I'm hoping they might be a little better!

The LR ones don't flop around. So now I have 2 unused Bearmach long arms that are probably faulty but can be used if they are positioned at the top of the detent action rather than at the bottom as they should be. Free of charge to anyone who wants them for the cost of the postage. Peter
