Checked fault code P0234
P0100 P0623 P0623 P0200 would I be looking at an electrical supply failure because I always get P0234 and the others suggest this too me, could be the switch behind the barrel lock? Looked at the harness and although tight, looked in good order! |

There have been a couple of reports of the ignition switch failing that have produced the symptoms you've described.
This might help but also read back through the rest of the quite long thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/post700627.html#700627 Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? What about the CVC valve?
Mine was dying while idle. Changing CVC did help. Bergos LR Defender 110 HT 2007 (2.4 Puma) https://www.facebook.com/LR.Wanderlust/ |

I did consider the VCV, but I have not ever had water in fuel event which hasten the demise of said valve. Fault codes point too an electrical problem and it is at the moment running perfectly, starting idling and runnning at speed. I forgot too indicate that I lost instrumentation during the problem.

Problem solved! well not exactly I suffered a ‘fail too proceed’ moment at a busy junction with lights! Burger! Anyhow got the RAC towed too Jordan Rovertech Perth who put the textbook on the deafener straight away! The tech said as I requested the 10AS too be turned off, he stated it could be, but it was unlikely, but give her a try! He was right, after reset ran well for 10ks then pooped again! Yep! It was the ECU, one ordered about a week from eastern states! Josh the tech said the do a lot of work for the main Land Rover dealers because they cannot change defender ECU,S. He then showed me his collection of puma gearbox adapter shafts! happy days!👍
