Yes, fit a BBUS (it is plug and play) but do not fit it in the "factory" location, since there it can be accessed and disabled through the headlight aperture. Either use an extension loom or modify the wing loom to bring the BBUS wires out separately from the bulkhead connector and fit it somewhere where it cannot be accessed without opening the bonnet. Ouch .
The SD flanges were sufficiently large to cover the template mismatch on mine - they certainly weren't centre to them which rubbed the OCD in me the wrong way. Anyhoo, more the fault of LR build tolerances of course , but you'd think SD should be aware of that ... Actually, we are aware of it too so ... Any news from the OP? Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants... |

Any idea where I can get one from? Had a look on ebay/google couldnt find much, just the extension looms. Just waiting for the cage to delivered! Wings are off ready to be marked and cut, cant do much more without the cage! |

Google the part number, LR044570, and you should find plenty.

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but Bankz do you have any more 'during' and 'finished' photos? Was it a lengthy but altogether manageable job? Thinking of doing this before winter. Monsieur Le Grenadier

For those interested in tackling this solo, I found a cracking DIY project with full photos from Estonia. Really good detail.

Bit of a write up here on landyzone. Wasnt that hard just alot of time and alot of measuring! I started weds at 11am finished friday at 8pm working roughly 8 - 10 hours a day alone. You may be able to get it done in a weekend with a couple mates but i would allow at least 3 days either way. Makita buzz gun on a low setting was a god send! Buy plenty of automotive masking tape, plenty of 1mm cutting discs for the grinder, silicone sealant, pencils, fine sandpaper and undercoat paint. Instagram @defender_ventures Empire Tuning - Agent |

Thanks Bankz. Even though you didn't include the link, I managed to find it. Very useful pointers, ta. And yours looks great. Also love the Coopers on the Bowlers, definitely going to be my next tyre. And what's your thoughts on the oversized air intake? Worth it? Think I might have asked before, but you seem to be one step ahead of many of my planned mods Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |
