That sounds like a much better idea. I assumed looking at the pic's that the plinths had two screw holes internal to the light mounts that you used but wasn't sure. I've been told to fit NAS light units required new holes, but that was for the standard bulb type ones.
I assume you mean the plastic panel around the headlights. The holes for the lamps are the same measurements front or rear of the vehicle. I take it you mean it won't clear the actual outer ridge on the plastic panel. That's worth noting but as mentioned these are for the rear. 110 2.4TDCi 110 300Tdi LROCV ::: AULRO.com |

Has anyone tried something like these?
http://www.ledshoponline.com/automotive_leds1156.htm I like the idea of using LEDs but I prefer the classic shape of the 'dalek eyes' compared to the NAS lights. My main concern is I'm not sure how waterproof these types of units would be. |

Andrew, the lenses and back are a single fused piece so the only point for water to come in is through the socket on the rear which has a foam gasket. Regardless of the bulb you use. I haven't had a problem with water entry or condensation in either my Tdi or Puma's lamps and that's with the high humidity up here. 110 2.4TDCi
