^^same as that, Was really hoping to take the Defender for a bit of a spin and make a weekend of it.
Though reading through some previous post i have opted for the van, less waves i know, but the Vw parts dont seem to sparkle just as much. |

Good point, and such a shame. Does anyone know if the organisers are putting any security measures in place to manage the car park. If it looks like the car park will simply be a free parts store for the scum, then I will stay away sadly.

Is there any evidence of thieving activity in the day car parks?
I've not heard of any and there are always people about. Been going there for years..... |

Apparently there is a Land Rover only parking area. I have asked the organisers if there are any security measures in place for this car park. I believe that the organisers did have additional security on the LR parking area in Scotland.
It is a shame that people are expressing concerns about the scumbags. Yes I do also appreciate their concerns. Roy, there is a small package already stowed away for you. Brendan |

I'll be taking my defender to the show for the 3rd time and parking on the left hand side with 100's of other defenders. For me it's part of the show which starts way down south as I cruise up the A1 at a steady 50mph, waving as the faster ones speed by. I do however have two visible security devices around the pedals and steering wheel so I'm 100% sure it will still be in the car park when I return. I've never read or heard about any theft problems in the car park but on the positive side if I return and someone has unbolted or unscrewed something I'll be straight back to the show ground for a replacement with the added bonus of no postage. Yes i could leave it at home wrapped in cotton wool and drive up in my nice comfortable fuel efficient family estate but I bought it to enjoy it after saving for it for years so that's what I'm doing. Unfortunately we live in a world of theiving scumbags but I'm going remain positive and enjoy the whole day. Looking forward to the show
