Apparently there will be extra security patrolling the car park, I emailed them and this is their response.

That’s good to hear. I think for everyone to have peace of mind and be able to enjoy the show without worrying about their pride and joy still being there/intact when it’s home time it’s a good move for the organisers to take steps to beef up security.

Hopefully security for the traders is also better as I think Duckworths lost stock at Kelmarsh due to scumbags getting in to the show.

Have had a very similar reply from Live.

Security at a show is EVERYONE'S responsibility.

As individuals you have to take care of your own possessions. Don't leave your ipad on display in your vehicle or just toss it inside your tent etc, etc.

If you hear or see something which does not seem right do something about it. Don't just turn a blind eye, roll over in your pit as it is not your vehicle being attacked, your possessions being stolen. Stick your head outside your tent and find out what is going on.

Show organisers can only do so much, everybody has to be alert and hopefully combat the scumbags so that the shows are a safe, secure event for everybody.

I'm sure Landy owning show goers would happily take a shift patrolling the car park for a few hours, as long as no police were allowed on site until any problems had been dealt with Laughing

There was last year too, quite a heavy presence. After the Scotland problems, they weren’t taking any risks.

there was a vast improvement at the Scottish show this year. More security, a proper Land Rover only car park and the camping area seemed much more secure

It's not just a Land Rover problem though. A Subaru was left of bricks in a car park at a regular car show not that long ago, I'll see if I can find the picture. There wasn't much left of it by the time they were done Sad 2013 Discovery 4 HSE Lux | 2001 Defender 90 TD5 | 2007 Prodrive RB320

Anyone know what the non landy parking is like as I was planning to drive up in the z4 coupe as it's not a fun 3 hour drive in a defender but want to be sure I'll get out again lol.

Parking will be fine, from memory it tarmac roads with gravel parking so not an issue in the main car park. James

Had a good day at the show today. It was good to look around and bought a few small items I wanted. Great weather and it made for a nice relaxed atmosphere.

It was good to see high levels of very visible security patrolling the car park. Hopefully no one suffered any losses or issues today either show goers or traders.

Really great day out. Certainly, the show is changing, less big names (JLR, Twisted, Urban, Kahn, J E Eng) more unrelated trade stands (cake stalls, phone covers etc), but a really nice day out. Didn't really get to do any shopping, which was a shame but good for my wallet. A few pics...

Great pics James. Thumbs Up

For the first time in years I didn't go because I heard the A14 was closed for the whole weekend, and I couldn't be bothered to be stuck in the diversions.

Did you avoid the A14?
