Defenderjam
This Saturday August 18th at Monachylie Mhor at Balquidder in Scotland - a very different sort of Landy get together. I would recommend it especially if you live in the central belt of Scotland. Very small, very friendly and in a beautiful location. We are going up but think an ever bigger attraction must be the cheesecake people from bruntsfield. Thumbs Up

Well we are back from Defenderjam and it is a good event. It is not the biggest event in the UK but must admit I prefer it to some of the larger events. Prices are much more reasonable. This year the off road course was included in price of entrance ticket of £10 or £20 including camping. You could go around as many time as you can.

Personally I would like to see more smaller local events.

Some photos of Defenders at the Jam

The RNLI are a little bit out of their normal territory being in the middle of Scotland.

Looks like quite a few series motors there too! I also agree, smaller events are the future! Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

Is the yellow one just in shot running doubled up wheels/tyres on the front, or is that a trick of the camera?

*edit* - or is it a tank track conversion?

The Yellow one belongs to Lix Toll IIRC... it was covered here https://www.lro.com/reviews/featured-vehic...fender-110

It's usually on the Lix Toll forecourt as an advertising hoarding Very Happy Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

@ land rover anorak

I presume you're referring to the wheels not having sufficient load rating?

Yup. Gawd knows what's required for the 6x4, of course. Darren
