Hi guys/gals I have just booked time off for a trip to this event near Barcelona Intending to get ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo on Weds 27th and return mon 2nd its a 590 mile straight shot from St Malo to andorra for my first nights camping and maybe a days mountain biking at Vallnord Bike Park before continuing to Les Comes for the LR Show Is anyone else going?  ill be going with my mate Martin who owns a 90 XS and lives round the corner from me! 2008 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold)

Yes Martin I am
590 miles from St Malo channel port to the first camping stop near or ideally in Andorra Ill be averaging 80mph so should take 7-8 hours with fuel/  /fuel stops,
Ive done 950 miles in one hit to Morzine in the French Alps many times so 590 will be fine 2008 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold)

So this is coming up in september- any one else going? Has it run before? Was it a good event? The 60miles of tracks that exist there, any one here driven them? Worth the trip?

Not boasting, but I rarely do more than one hit if under 1000km. Will be doing this drive in four weeks time en-route to Majorca, approc 800km. All my UK trips (1000km to London) have been one hit there, one hit back and that's in at least four different Defs, Luton vans, motorbikes. Just get on with it, window down for fresh air, window up for great tunes, and lots of coffee and M&Ms  Monsieur Le Grenadier

Not thought of Santander? Similar distance on road, but far nicer scenery. The bit between St Malo and Bordeaux is mind-numbingly boring. Done it a number of times with the old-man in his Merc. i.e. With company, at his expense, in a luxury fully-loaded car. If I was doing solo in a Def, I'd do Santander to Comes, (I've done Barca to San Sebastien). Much more 'epic'. Do one way through Pamplona and the other through Zaragoza, that way you get both lush mountains and rugged to the North (Pamplona) and the more barren plains to the south (Zaragoza). ALL BOOKED!!!
I have a mate flying over from Canada for the event. We'll be leaving Saint Gervais on Friday, overnighting in Beziers and then arriving mid-morning Saturday. Planning to stay until the bitter end on Sunday before heading to Barca for a night. Who else is coming?
