I don't get why some folk are trying to sell defenders for £20K that are in a similar state to Alan.. I paid almost half that... Bizarre.... 1993 200Tdi Defender 90

80k! I think my dads terr was on that when he bought him.
How comon is it to find a defender with that sort of mileage on now? I know the later ones will be like that, but finding a 200 tdi or a 300 tdi? i only found one, which had 64k on and that was a right shed, which was 1k more than the one i have, and mine was in better nick! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

I know.. I checked the MOT history online and Alan was off the road for a few years before the rebuild so thats why its so low..
I shouldn't say it but he's running great... I know Ive probably just brought down some curse saying that..
I've fitted one of those under seat trays you mentioned and some new focal speakers in the front and a sub woofer behind the middle seat which has made a big difference.... 1993 200Tdi Defender 90

Yes he had a belt change as part of the rebuild two years ago.. I don't have any reason to doubt that as everything has been great.. only had to replace the battery.. and starts first time every time... Although as you know I have changed one or two things to suit my needs and wants... 1993 200Tdi Defender 90

The tray is handy isn't it? I need to secure mine in place, Still got to finish the ICE install. but I moved on to the MOT, as our terr is due a test, Also I left it a little late, so that I can get a little bit of distance between the 306 and the defender. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Oh yeah we have to add those little touches, Batteries die regardless of age I think. My rover metro had a new battery which died after two years. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

I think Alan will outlast me as I think I'm more run over than run in... Embarassed My mother is in her 70's with 2 replacement not very bendy knees and she struggles to get in and out so I figure I should have at least another 15 to 20 years...... 1993 200Tdi Defender 90
