You may well be right, I don't know. But what you have look really great! Especially like the silver edge, makes a really nice touch. You sure made the right decision with the wheels, they are spot on As for the bumper, my very humble opinion would be to leave it black to match the rear cross member and your side steps 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

That looks great - certainly a lot shinier than mine!
If lifting the spare on and off is a challenge then consider fitting a Wolf Tuff Lift sling, which makes it a lot easier. Originally intended for the side mounted spares on military Wolfs, with a bit of modification to the bracket they can be adapted to fit a rear door mount. Here's one I fitted to a previous 110 some years ago: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? Thank you everyone
Whilst I am liking the new look what has impressed me a lot is that the drive has improved greatly with the larger diameter tyres.. much better in the gears and a more comfortable cruising speed, plus it seems less crashy and bumpy. LRA, thanks for those photo's, a great idea, I haven't come across a wolf one yet though Mantec do a copy which is around £80 But a small price to save a back I suppose. As to the shine, well I clayed and gave it a good polish with a DA polisher then a seal and wax... Next jobs hopefully this week is to swap the front propshaft with a new one to hopefully cure a vibration and to finally fit the through centre pipe exhaust which is languishing in the corner of the garage... |

Well I made a start on removing the front prop... one nut is totally seized and already rounded off a bit before I started with it..
I've put some plus gas on the others and got them moving and the fourth one on the transfer box end is part way through being cut off.... hopefully tomorrow I might get it off... I have noticed also that the front prop is on back to front...Fingers crossed that is the source of the annoying vibration I get... only time and a prop swap will tell........ |
