Passenger power Window failure
I have a 2007MY Puma wagon.

The passenger side power window has stopped working. No noise, no movement. I checker the fuze - its ok. I changed out the up/down switch on the dashboard, I checked the wiring between chasis and door and di not find a break. I think it may be the regulator (motor) , what do you think?

Any issues with changing out regulator motor or is it faily straght forward?

Thanks guys.

Rob

Put a live feed direct to the motor, it will confirm if it’s the motor or the loom,
99% of the time it’s the door loom that’s at fault.

Did you test the loom, or just visually look at it? 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered.

As cars go stripping the door down on a Defender is one of the simplest. It's worth buying the foam water shedder for inside the door, they're cheap from Land Rover. It's much easier than trying to salvage the old water shedder and adhesive.

And a trim removal tool for the door card clips will greatly reduce the chances of damaging the door card.

No sir, I did not test the Loom, I do not know how to do that. I have a good tester can you tell me how to test it?

Also how do I put a "Live feed" to the motor?

I appreciate your guidance, I am new and learning.

Strip the door down, unplug the motor, then connect the motor directly to a battery with a couple of bits of wire. If the motor works, you know it's the switch or wiring harness at fault.

Whilst you have the plug off the motor put your circuit tester on the plug, operate the switch, and check for 12v.

......While wiggling the cable tube between the door and the car - see if the voltage is constant.
