I think I'm going to have to stop reading this thread - the garage envy it causes in me is making me depressed!

Hi Greeni,
No I won't be going far in the Dodge this year. I have had it for nearly forty years but hadn't used it for ten. So sorting a few bits out and testing it out on short journeys at the moment.
I have to order some engine mounts as they are a bit worse for wear, so it will be keeping the ramp company for a bit longer.
Hopefully next years weather won't be a washout to make up for this years warm spell.
Bob

40 years! I'm intrigued as to what else may be lurking in that large garage. Shocked

Well....
I retired (early) 4 years ago and decided that I had too many cars.
So I have sold the following.
2010 Defender 90 pickup
1973 Aston Martin V8
1950 Ford Fordor V8 (yank)
1970 Reliant Scimitar SE5
Armstrong MT500 bike

I haven't bought any more vehicles since retiring, and I now just have the following.
2010 Defender 110 xs utility
1973 Dodge Charger 440 (yank)
1952 Ford F3 pickup (yank)
1965 Daimler 2.5 V8
1972 Jensen Interceptor
1971 Dutton B kit car
1975 Kawasaki Z1B
1963 Triumph 500
1996 Harley Softail Springer
And finally a 1923 American LaFrance with a straight six 14 litre engine - this needs a bit of work though.

Plus a few bits like car trailer, digger etc. And the wife has a car as well.

I will sell a few more, Jensen, Dutton, Triumph and Harley so I can keep / use the remainder.

I do spend a lot of time in my garage and it is full. - I had the garage built just after buying my house. Overall width is 17 metres and front to back is 12 metres. 3 metre high doors with 3.5 metre ceiling height inside. Upstairs is my storage area. Staircase and all boarded, in the picture inside on the left you can see a genie lift that I use to get the awkward stuff upstairs for storage, like engines, gearboxes (probably 5 of each up there at the moment) The centre section with the ramp is 5 metres wide by 6 metres deep. The right hand section of the garage is fully covered by overhead crane. Just in case you are wondering - I do all my own maintenance on my cars.

Thumbs Up

This is my garage. Not really much room to work on vehicles, although I have a work bench complete with vice etc nearer the garage door to work on cars outside.

Thanks Legin,
Size is 6 x 12m, steel structure as I was worried about fire risks. Epoxy flaked floor which avoids concrete dust. As mentioned before we had to fight for every spare inch with council, otherwise the whole lot would have been higher. Really like the amount of natural light I get, plus the insulation makes which makes a huge difference. m

A bit of a thread resurrection to encourage more posts, as I've been enjoying this thread. It's not just the buildings but what's kept inside too. Whistle

Thought I'd better post my own...
