land rover no assist a rant
on Saturday I filled my car to find a small fuel leak coming from the fuel tank it stopped after running a few mile <we> .0n Sunday I had a kook on defender 2 and came to a conclusion its a perished fuel breather pipe tank end
so I called land rover assist they arranged a visit on Monday but they cancelled and came Tuesday lunch time . it needs to go in he said ill sort it <oh> stratstone Doncaster its going to a car will be waiting for you . I got a call saying my car had to be there at 1600 hours I cannot was my reply I am at work oh ok we will collect it and leave you a car to cut a very long story short I am sat here my car been refused by stratstone they have been taken over by jct and there staff have walked out . now its supposed to go to Wakefield guy salmon tomorrow iv to take it . and to make matters worse they said my extended warranty may not cover it <at> Crying or Very sad

Honestly I’d just get it done by the garage closest to you and forget LR assist / warranty etc. It is just a hose, it isn’t worth the bother of dealing with JLR.

Yeah if it's not covered by the warranty just get a local garage to do it. The tank needs dropping a bit to get the old clip off but it's not a big job. Maybe an hour at most. The hose isn't expensive from Land Rover.

If it's covered by the warranty get JLR to do it, you're paying for them after all, so get the free courtesy car, valet, etc.
