Portugal 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 HT Keswick Green
Clutch exchange
Hi.
I am thinking about changing the clutch in my 2007 Defender. It's more of a preventive measure as I do not have any symptoms of slipping. Or at least I do not notice them.
The car has 145000 km on the clock.
Should I change or wait for any symptoms? What would they be?
If it is to be replaced which is the right way to go? I do overlanding, which sometimes includes 100' of km off-road but no competition nor racing.
Thank you for advice and opinions. Bergos

United Kingdom 2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Firenze Red
The clutch on my 2012 110 was working fine but the slave cylinder failed, so the gearbox had to come out.
When dismantled the clutch was found to have a broken spring and wear on the other springs too .. the plates were fine.

This was not noticeable when driving ... so you never know what you may find !

If you go that route - change the break cylinders and the other inaccessible parts too !

(Luckily this was all covered under the warrantee as it was a component failure) Thumbs Up Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html
