Storage net on headlining
I’m thinking of putting one of these nets on the headlining in my 2010 Puma 110 XS Station Wagon

https://www.mudstuff.co.uk/mud-large-plastic-net.html

The attached review states that it will work for Defender and later glass fibre headlings. Does anyone know if the Puma has a glass fibre headlining, has anyone else installed one?

Thanks[/i] 2010 Defender 110 Station Wagon, Santorini Black.

Yes, the Puma headlining is glass fibre. Darren

Thanks Darren, hopefully the screws won’t pull out! 2010 Defender 110 Station Wagon, Santorini Black.

They still sag under their own weight though. I think you'll need the screws to go into one of the roof ribs for it to be any use.

Thanks Wyvern, nice to know it will work, did you just screw into the headlining?

I take your point zsd-puma but I fear poking around looking for a rib may prove to be a disaster! I’m only going to use it for light stuff such as maps and documents. 2010 Defender 110 Station Wagon, Santorini Black.

Yes I just used self tapping screws and it was all ok .. we used the nets above the beds for phones and nick-nakcs - nothing too heavy ... the ones in the back were used for cooking things like strainer and j-clots loo rolls etc...

Just a little tip ... with the front net put the opening to face the back of the vehicle so as things don't fall out when you break hard ....

Dont ask me how I know .... Whistle
