Proceeds of Crime
To say its laughable?

Make thousands and have to pay £1 for proceeds of crime? A joke is putting it mildly. Will not even pay the cost of the proceedings!

Actually not as laughable as it sounds.
Whilst in my world they would be taken to the cleaners.

They may have said that they have no money/assets......however at a later date when they come into money it means the courts have already set a precedent & they can immediately seize assets from them.

I still think 5 mins with some thumb screws would have jogged their memories as to where they hid the loot. May your life be like toilet paper ; long & useful.
