The dogs think they want a walk. Iโ€™ve been waiting until 9 or 9.30 of an evening to do a bit of quiet training with the dogs, just 15-20 minutes. Too hot otherwise.

Totally agree, I see them walking the dogs on the leads their tongues practically dragging along the floor. Mine go out at 5am when it's just about tolerable for them.

I only walk my dogs on grass as well when itโ€™s this hot.

Thatโ€™s what concerned me, the road surface was practically melting,
And there a folk walking their dogs on the pavement next to it! Shocked 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Could not agree more ordered two items last week one from China with free postage one from Leeds via Parcelforce, the item from China arrived after five days still waiting for Parcelforce, however, I should not worry as the tracking says they have my parcel and it is moving through the system. I envisage some ninety years old slowly moving down the hard shoulder of the M62 with my parcel in a supermarket trolley. Royal mail in general. Sorry we missed you. You can collect the item from the depot. This is despite leaving a note taped on the front door asking them to take it to my neighbour. Evil or Very Mad

Yeah, and doing that when you are in and not even giving you the chance to open the door.

Parcelfarce said my item from Ohio, USA would be delivered Thursday. "Out for delivery".
No delivery, no card nothing...
It still says "out for delivery", they say if not delivered they'll attempt the next day which was today.
No delivery....
And it still says out for delivery...
Evil or Very Mad
Emailed last night, no reply all day nothing. No Guts, No Glory.

Update in the above.
Delivery due Thurs, I was in all day no show nothing..
Friday came around tracking remained showing out for delivery the day before being Thursday. No delivery at all Friday.
Weekend now, and an external generic parcel tracker shows 10pm Friday arrived back at office.

Can see that pattern just at clocking off time!
So Thursday and Friday it disappears inc the weekend, I bet they'll send it out Monday.
It went quicker halfway across the US and over the pond and across London and this country until it got about 15 miles from here.

Just as well it's not urgent. Rolling Eyes No Guts, No Glory.

Going against the thrust of this thread, I've realised I am getting less grumpy about the World Cup.

What's going on? Surprised

As already said on here, I had no interest at all in the World Cup - although I do have England in the Company sweepstake so โ€˜come on Englandโ€™!

Re: eBay - sharks and fishes

Has ebay had its day? When the number of sharks in the sea outweighs the number of fishes it is hard to see how it can continue. I'm an infrequent user, but have recently sold an Islabike my son has outgrown - a million questions and no bids, eventually sold off site. My Golf is currently for sale and oh my life, what a pain in the bum. I've listed the history, every service date / mileage etc, normal pics etc and the number of questions from people using broken english offering ยฃ2.50 has been extraordinary. A Welsh car trader bid on it and then wanted to buy it outside of ebay and got Censored when I said no. I've had to cancel his bid and block him as a seller. Where have all the nice people gone? Big Cry

A note in the post office beckons.......

Had that a lot, groups of young Asian blokes phoning up, coming to see it, saying it wasn't as described, then getting abusive and demanding I sell it for some stupidly low figure, ยฃ50 instead on ยฃ1500. The car was meticulously described, it was my late father in laws and I had no interest whatsoever in risking any comebacks, I wasn't getting anything from the sale, sadly started telling anyone with a foreign accent on the phone it was sold, no more hassle....

My parcel finally arrived @ late afternoon today.
And reply to my email after it's been delivered this teatime.

Only an apology and they say they could find no reason for the non delivery that happened.
Apology again.

Evidently someone chucked up their job for two days before the weekend.

At least I ding have to wait for it now, and just under customs fees luckily too. No Guts, No Glory.
