Land Rover Experience Skipton
Some months ago my other half bought herself an Evoke. As part of the deal she was offered a Land Rover Experience half day which we eventually did today. We were offered a FFRR Autobiography to play with which to be honest was astonishingly capable and was probably even better than the D3 I once had. The site near Skipton is stunning and the various courses were laid out well for a novice such as my other half, she loved it. The instructor Joe was a young lass who was very patient, well informed and knowledgeable. We had a great fun day out and just to add the icing on the cake this little beauty was parked inside the reception area, a 1949 with apparently only 16K miles and owned by Farnells for many years.

I went about three years ago, just after they had moved from their previous location and there was still some work to do on the new site. Despite not being finished it was still a great day. I chose to take a 110 around and was fortunate enough to have one of their instructors who was a complete Defender nerd who was one of their commercial trainers, training the likes of RNLI, Forestry Commission and Coast Guard etc. Defender 90XS SW

I went a couple of weeks ago and also enjoyed it. Learnt how to use the high low gearing, diff lock and found out about the feet off pedals feature, none of which were explained to me when I bought my approved used 90 from a main dealer.

Graham, I’m sure your better half will enjoy it once she has been shown what to do. Joe the young lass who was instructing my other half was excellent but from what I saw any of the guys will make sure you have an informative and enjoyable day.
