You mean that the function: Battery Error: When set to ENABLED this configures the alarm to notify the user via the security LED that the plip has a low battery in accordance with the other settings which affect this function's operation. When set to NO the function is totally disabled. still works, even when the immobilizer is deactivated? That would be great, doe to the deactivation I see no red ligts any more.... |

Hmm... If that's the case, maybe I am wrong?
My thought is that you are just deactivating the immobilizer and not removing the 10AS. This being the case, all other functionality except the immobilizer should still be working. Well, I'm sure more experienced member than I can chime in. We are all learning after all. Besides, I could be wrong. |

Yes, although you will probably also have to configure the alarm setting in the AS10 so that key unlock disables the alarm.
On a standard configuration if you lock the car with the key and unlock with the key I believe that the alarm will sound. If you lock with the key and unlock with the fob the alarm will not sound. This can be changed using most diagnostic tools. |

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
That's exactly how it behaves. I disabled Arm on lock, Plip immobilize and Key mobilize and have a simple central locking controller now, no more LED in any situation. The question is if the LED will work when a low battery in the fob is detected. But anyway, I change it yearly. |

the other difference between locking with the key vs. the plip is the interior protection (ultra sonics) will be disabled when you lock by key. This allows you to lock pets in the car without them setting the alarm off constantly.
