Yes, the “genre”, “VP” or “Camionnette” is really key here! You may end up paying a fortune or a small fee depending on that, and as I said the 2.2 should be a “Camionnette” over here.

Maybe get in touch with Land Rover, they should be able to tell you the actual “genre” of your 110 from 2014. “A Land Rover immobilized is a moral defeat for the driver and bad publicity for the vehicle, […] it's up to you to do justice to your Land Rover!” - Land Rover Driving Technique.

Humm, no, unlikely... Quite franckly I do not see many families in little white vans over here.

This is actually quite similar to the UK, where the road tax is cheaper for light commercial vehicles. “A Land Rover immobilized is a moral defeat for the driver and bad publicity for the vehicle, […] it's up to you to do justice to your Land Rover!” - Land Rover Driving Technique.

Overrated. Use one of these. Polar spec, more than good enough for a Pyrenean winter, just 1000€:

January last I was wearing TWO Rab expedition down jackets indoors and taking one off to take the dog out for a walk.

I will get back in touch with them. Thanks for this, there's hope yet. It does explain why my friend's Ford Ranger was 300euros with the same age, engine size and c02.
