Tank filled on the way to the MOT as the light was on

Done about 10 miles so far. All seems ok, a little bit rough under load about 2,000rpm. It has a new coil and rotor arm. Dizzy cap is very good so going to pop a set of plugs and some magnecore leads.

Who knows, if I fall in love with the V8 I might have to put one into the defender

You do realise that you will have to change that tail pipe if your going to take any more rear pic's

Sounds like it could do with a good run really, My rover really did run well after a good long drive, just to burn all the crap through, and if this has been sitting and having practically no fuel in, then it will be running a little rough. I've just ordered some Magnecor leads from RPI. Blue ones unfortunately which isn't really my style, I'd have preferred black but they aren't available

Going to pop in a set of BPR6ES plugs, it has BPR7CS plugs in at the moment which are a grade hotter but with a different tip. I guess maybe to help with combustion on lpg but going back to the correct ones for the time being

From memory the Red ones were the best for performance, I know Magnecore leads are not cheap at the best of times. But they have a life time guarantee. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

It could do with a twin pipe, as his tail pipe looks like it belongs on a boy racers car

Still under £1500 I think so far. Have budgeted for a fair bit more than that but once the cosmetic bits start then I'm sure the price will start to rise!

Fitted the new Magnecor leads and new dizzy cap and rotor arm today so need to go on a bit of a drive and see if it is any better
