AlliSport Decat - New MOT rules

Has anyone got any experience with this product ;

It’s a decat downpipe with a “cosmetic” cat can.

I’m assuming this would pass modern MOT where as a normal decat will not? My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html

It depends how switched on the tester is.

Any decat will pass if the tester doesn't notice that the cat is absent.

This decat will pass if the tester doesn't recognise as a dummy cat.

It will fail if it is recognised as a dummy.

In my opinion and experience, provided the heatshield is fitted it is unlikely that this would be picked-up.

I can't imagine any MOT tester would fail that, if they even ask, just say it's an aftermarket sports cat.
