For your usage, why not stick with original spec. springs? New standard parts will transform it. Darren

Yes, am considering that as well, just thought I’d see if anyone has experienced this particular set up, when you think about it my loading is no more than all 7 seats occupied by adults with a small amount of luggage so the standard springs should be ok. 2010 Defender 110 Station Wagon, Santorini Black.

Hi Chris
I put HD springs on the back of my110 DCPU and it gave a harsh ride. I tow a big trailer fairly regularly and that was the only time I appreciated them, the rest of the time I’d wince over every pot hole ! I’ve swapped them back to a standard spring but with Bilstein B6 shock absorbers and what a difference to the standard shock, I’d highly recommend Happy searching Rich |

Thanks Rich,
You’ve confirmed what I thought, seems to be the view of most, I think I’ll stick to standard springs with the new shocks, can you or anyone recommend a good brand of, preferably OEM, standard springs? Chris 2010 Defender 110 Station Wagon, Santorini Black. |

You'll probably find that genuine LR ones aren't expensive. Darren

Originally bought TF springs for my 110 when I rebuilt it but the rears were far too hard. Kept the fronts and replaced rears with new take-off in brown/purple variety, Nice progressive HD spring. I think the green/yellow/green ones offer a bit more comfort though if you are not always towing or carrying heavy loads, but are harder to come by as take-offs. Think mine were £40 the pair.

stick with std ones if you can, if you load it up heavy fit the air helpers.
OME shocks will transform it though. Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |
