Update after a few months driving.
I went for Corbeau high sided seats in the end. Bought from https://www.lkperformance.co.uk/ (Very pimp-my-rife, but friendly and helpful). If you want a straight through exhaust and 21" alloys for your Defender, they're the place to go! Very happy so far. Comfortable and very supportive. Few things to note: The high sides make the seat belt buckles difficult to use if you have mud rails or similar fitted. Easy solution is to buy extenders for the seat belt (https://www.seatbeltextenderpros.com/land-rover-defender-seat-belt-extender/). The seats are slightly higher than the regular seats. If you're tall (I'm 6'2"), you're too high to see out the windscreen safely. I found I was missing red lights! Fortunately, the metal plate that fits between the seat and the rails is high enough to lift over the bulk head. That meant I was able to drill a couple of holes in the plate and just move it back on the rails. The seats don't have removable bases, but not really a problem. On mine, the passenger side has mud rails which raise the seat enough to be able to remove the bottle jack and tow rope from under the seat. On the driver's side, because I've move the seat back, there is enough space at the front of the seat to access the fuses etc. The seats can't reuse the old bolts from the previous seats. They're much too long and snag the rail. Need to buy much shorter bolts. Overall, I'd recommend. If you're short, I'd go for the low sides, much more dignified! |

Yup this is my situation. IIRC the Scheelmann and Exmoor Elites fit. Not sure about the Corbeaus... |

Have to say whether Corbeau, Sparco or Scheelman, Recaro or Exmoor they all look fantastic in a Defender. Really make my Puma XS seats look sub-standard...

Where can you get the Scheelmann seats? They have an option for removable seat bases, don't they?

Those seats look alright actually. They are a good bit cheaper than any recaros I've seen.

Very pleased with my replacement seats (front and back seats, converted my 110 from a CSW to USW). But then they are from an L322 Even turned a £300+ profit and still have 3 ways left to sell. Also being full leather very easy to clean.
13h drive from the Scottish Highlands no trouble at all, just wish I had cruise control. Electric motors all working, just need to wire in heated seats and TVs now Dogs like them too Click image to enlarge Ed 82 Hotspur Sandringham 6x6 95 Defender 110 300Tdi |
