Wing top air intake
I dont want a snorkle but was thinking about moving the air intake to the wingtop vent on the drivers side and use a snow cowl. Is this a stupid idea? 🤷🏻‍♂️ And does somone make a mount that the intake hose will join to

I think and I know someone will correct me if I am wrong, but Nakatanenga do a kit for this. Albeit for the Puma, but I suspect it can be used on an earlier Defender.

EDIT: Here you go: https://www.nakatanenga.de/en/vehicle-equi...-td4?c=312

Mind you, it would not be a difficult thing to fabricate at home or locally...

4” pipe from airbox to wing top. Bit of aluminium with an adaptor ring fabbed up with a snow cowl I too. Works lovely. 2011 Defender DCPU 2.2 - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic30623.html

Since people on this forum seem more knowledgeable than those on Facebook, I'd like to bounce back on this thread for this question: can this kit (or a diy version) be used to switch the air intake and the heat intake on a LHD Defender 300tdi?

I ask the question because I wanted to install a snorkel with a wing mount, but in order to do this, I would have to switch the two intakes...

Out of curiosity, what's the benefit of doing this mod? Is it for the shorter run of air or?

Nakatenenga again sell a relocation for the heater/blower intake to the side of the wing. I have just the wing vent but it comes with pipe work and adaptors.
