The charger is working as intended. It only reports an error if the voltage after steps 1-4 drops to 12v. You clearly had more volts than this so no error reported. It might be worth trying to recharge the battery in Recond mode before buying a new battery. |

Leave the charger connected and momentarily switch the headlights on or the starter.
Check the charger report afterwards. |

Put the charger in recon mode over night, it will bring your battery up to better than new! Then use the maintenance function 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8
