Toylander accelerater from mobility scooter? How

Hello

Finally trying to sort the electrics out. The mobility scooter has a wigwam style hand control .

I would like to make this as easy as possible to a pedal... Easy just choose the reverse bit off? Attach a plate to handle and fit to floor... However how do I then enable it to go in reverse?

I would rather not have a heal and toe pedal but that would make life easy?

Any suggestions please

Ignore the rubbish drawing on my phone but this is the thought I was trying to get across.

Loop or similar on the top perpendicular to the pedal face. Press the pedal for forwards then slide your foot up slightly and pull for reverse Thumbs Up

Another option as it's only a 3 wire potentiometer is a single pole double throw switch (cue another poor phone drawing Whistle ) 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Edit:

Actually, that might not work if it's a dead centre pot. It would need to be slightly different.

This second one is what you'd need for selectable forward and reverse. You send the forward signal from the forwards portion of the potentiometer to either the forwards for reverse portion of the controller depending on which wire you send the signal down Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Hello

Thanks for this,

The idea is to cut the reverse part of the lever off and then fit a on / off / on switch to engage reverse.

I'm not idea how to do this yet... However I've started making the pedal to make it go and The dashboards looking something like...

then the pedal...

so the switch I have to engage reverse is like this, but how do I wire this to what would have been reverse on the handlebar (so the three wires coming out of the pedal mechanism.

Thanks

Accelerater form mobility scooter
Hello everyone,

I am currently building a Toylander 90. I would also like to use a normal foot pedal where I can select the reverse position with a switch, can you help me with this? It has already been discussed above, but can you explain it a little more or go into it a little deeper? I use potentiometer with 3 connections.

Friendly thanks
