Im doing the same thing and I've useBlack Tiger Seal.
Whether thats thje correct stuff i don't know but done the job |

Black butyl sealant non setting is what you want. The 3M stuff is good but expensive don’t use tiger seal you’ll never get it apart again!

Unibond do one, available in most DIY shops as "guttering sealant" |
