It was a great day... fantastic way to burn some fuel.
I think the 50th owners should get an award for "parking rules applied!" They were also parked in order based on GB number.

I was admiring all the series 1s - didn't realise my favourite was yours Ian... Bow down

Looks like it was a great meet - shame I could not be there. I had intended to go along with the Series 2 Club.

What a lovely sight all of those 50ths... I saw a 50th Anniversary a couple of years ago on a farm (below) and almost cried at the state it was in. Big Cry Big Cry

The 70th V8 was nice, but £150k? I don’t think so!

Nothing special inside, fancy seats, fancy badges, crappy leather headlining (which did look pants sat in the back!) diamond cut saw tooth’s, I think they could have tried a little harder for the money!

The driver and passenger were talking about the specially developed stereo, it looked dated to me? Why didn’t they stick a top notch double din in the dash? but sat right in the back, we couldnt hear them over the lovely V8 exhaust note.

For a 110 take off was very lively, throwing you into your seat, and it did sound awesome Mr. Green
I think the 90 would be a propper handful? Laughing
For me, I would rather spend a lot less and build one to your own spec.

It was interesting to see the donor vehicles being stripped out ready for refurb in the workshop. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Have to agree with Ian, couldn't see the value in the £150k price tag; I understand that its kind of hand built and they need to recoup the development cost and as a business make a profit... but you could easily build or commission something for much less; or buy a 50th and enjoy it. (50ths are going up, so you're not going to loose money!)

My drive down was the longest I've done Motorway wise, and kept up with modern traffic well; and you really don't want to do much more the 80 in a defender V8 anyway. (50ths are limited to 99 mph! by the ECU). Also drove down in convoy - the sound from 2 V8's was amazing!

I susepect the majority of 70th won't get used much - or those rich foke who do buy them will get board and they will pass from hand to hand and the rest will just sit in a private collection somewhere.

Still enjoyed seeing the 70th in the flesh though!

I can't believe they are using Perei rear lights. Twisted also. Don't get me wrong I quite like the reverse and fog, I have them on mine but if you are paying £150k plus for a motor (up to £200k for a Twisted) you don't want to pull up to the lights next to a dustbin lorry, ambulance, or coach and have the same cheapo generic parts bin lights as them.

Oh and worse still, I'm yet to see a photo of a works V8 or Twisted with the rear lights mounted level. Very sloppy workmanship.
