A gaggle of 50th Defenders at the Breakfast meet.
Had a great morning, the series 1 club were invited to a small gathering at the Coventry re born workshops,
This was hosted by JLR free of charge, with some bacon and sausages thrown in too!
Thanks JLR! Thumbs Up

I loaded up Delilah on the trailer, and made the 90 mile trip up to Coventry to meet up with a few other club members/friends

The 50th owners club were showing their strength too,
I’ve never seen so many 50ths in one place! It was an amazing sight Razz
I’m not sure how many were there, But I did hear it was one of the biggest gatherings they have had?

The series 2 club also had a few members turn up, so it was a good mix of Land Rovers.

We were able to look around the workshops/storage facility freely, and could go in and out as much as we liked,
It was a really good day, by 1pm it had started to wind down, but one last supprise was being able to be a passenger in a works 110 70th V8 Ner Ner Ner Ner

They had one running about all morning, but we didn’t realise the driver was taking 6 passengers out at a time and blasting it up and down a dual Carriage way, then around the block.

They certainly do shift, and sound flippin awsome when you plant your foot!
I bet the 90 is crazy Shocked
Would I pay the money though, Probably not?

Glad we got to do it though, I can’t see that opportunity coming round again any time soon? Bow down
Thanks again JLR, Thumbs Up Mr. Green

Here are a few piccys for you chaps Thumbs Up

My mate Darren brought his newly restored Minerva for its first run out,

Thanks for sharing Ian, the 110 sounds great, I'd seen the gig mentioned on the 50th FB page, I thought of gate crashing but I'd have been dragged out and thrown back on the streets, I'm sure!

Your s1 looks outstanding.

I was there too. albeit a bit schizophrenic as I'm a member of the SI Club, went with the SII Club and my N reg RR Classic got put with the Range Rover Club (despite my protestations!)

The 50ths were lovely and I've never seen so many together before.

So probably worth a couple more pics.

Seeing this solitary Heritage made me wish I'd never sold mine.

That looks like it was a great day.

All those 50ths...and barely two the same! Only a LR owner would take a relatively rare special edition and modify it beyond recognition Rolling with laughter Darren

I think so, I was just directed in, then rushed off to find my mates without looking too closely.

Too much pale cream leather on view for my liking.......
