It's definitely possible, no obvious smell of diesel but i'll get them changed and see what happens. Cheers

Right had seals and washers changed and a new injector loom, also changed the fuel filter return valve, this has caused a slight improvement.
A couple of oddities we’ve noticed The only chance of starting it comes on attempts when the coil light comes on, if the first start fails the on subsequent attempts the coil light never appears and turning the key will result in cranking only with no hint of a start. You then need to turn off and wait for all the relays to click off before retrying With the above taken into account I can usually get a start by turning to pos 2 waiting 15 secs or so then starting. Any other suggestions? |

Try snd bump start it, my mates old boys was having similar issues. Turned out the starter was corrupting the crank sensor signal

Right started fine this morning about 20 starts some close together some far apart so cold starting not the issue any more.
Took it for a drive for 25 mins mostly on full throttle a road, drive fine except still feels down on top end, I can get it to 70+ in 4th but not faster in 5th Got back turned off then immediately back on and started fine, turned off again waited for relays to reset then the car will start only to stall after 3-5 secs whatever combination of clutch/throttle I use. Ran some purge cycles and pump not too noisy and no gargles, then is some noise like a spurting near the fpr but no visible leak. Just unplugged the coolant temp sensor and fuel temp sensor together and it fires again! So I’m assuming the issue is with fuel delivery so what’s next, pump replacement or any other checks? Ps can you drive without coolant temp and or fuel temp sensors? For testing? |

Try unplugging the MAF and see if you get your power back when driving. Ray

No codes apart from the missing aircon, abs, rev counter etc
Tested fuel pressure 4bar at the rail in all situations the pump is running, checked amp draw and it's a steady 11.5 which seems to be with the acceptable range. Gave all the under seat relays a clean but will replace them as a matter of course. The starting problem has now developed some consistency. engine temp low, starts 100% of the time. engine temp high, it starts then immediately dies every time, wait for it to cool down and it'll start fine. Here's a video of the issue &feature=youtu.be Next plan is to get a new temp sensor, i'll then unplug the fuel and engine temp sensor wiring and connect to the new sensor this should determine whether it's to do with engine/fuel temp after a drive or a hot component/electrical short when hot type issue somewhere |

Try to heat the ECU itself, not just the engine. I have seen some ECUs with heat related problems (poor solder joints). "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo

Couple more bits tried today
Swapped temp sensors for cold ones, no change Tried bump starts, same thing happens the engine starts runs for a few seconds then stalls regardless of whether you clutch it or not Changing CPS tomorrow, fingers crossed |

Can you show us any live data?
You can’t really get much definitively with a volt meter, you could try and if it has a mid max scale possibly. Do you find key on key off and building the pressure makes a difference? |

Not got anything right now, picked up an icarsoft lr2 but was useless, would basically only show codes, nothing useful. Going to pick up a Hawkeye total or a nanocom on next week, see what that shows up
