My mechanic is doing a really interesting conversion from 300tdi to 4.2 v8 auto.
Given the way it's going with the anti diesel hysteria at the moment. I'm watching this conversion with extra interest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btt2_0JHNo8 Last edited by epictrail on 18th Jul 2017 5:35pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Interesting to see the amount of work that goes into a conversion like this, not for the faint hearted.
I wonder what ball park figures are for paying someone to do it? Wow, that's one awesome V8 in sheep's clothing!
The wry smile when they both put their foot down, turning in to terrified shock at the power is awesome! Love to know a rough idea on what it cost? What a ripper video,..lovely sound,....from the V8,....and also from one very happy owner.
That video truly conveyed the lovely V8 sound (best V8 sound video I've heard on here), and also shows a very happy grinning owner. Loved it, Pickles. |

Fantastic step by step video currently looking to do this conversion myself. Was it standard v8 mounts used for the engine ?
