Where did you buy it from and how did you pay for it? By law the seller will have to give you a refund if the product is not as described under the Consumer Rights Act I believe so make sure you save the email/page where it says the wheel is 48 spline incase you have any trouble.
Good luck but remember you are entitled to a refund if the product is not as described so stand your ground! Matt. '89 90 CSW with a 3.5 V8 conversion (WIP) - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic46809.html |

You should be fine then, PayPal will cover you but should be a standard eBay return. Matt.

OK, I managed to find a 48 wheel, which adds a touch of class, So that's the phrase for the day.
The TD5 one was sweet too, but shame so that going back to the seller. Anyway the replacement wheel came, from off a puma Feels more like my 306s wheel which nice! Anyway here is the old one, 20 years old and 124k, got my nerves that! Click image to enlarge replacement wheel, like new! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge and on!! The Italian leather steering wheel covers that you can get from eBay for about £16 or so are a nice economical upgrade for a standard wheel.

Well its a start on the wheel upgrade Just had to fork out 400 quid on the Peugeots insurance, But they lowered the defenders renewal more, so I am not going to complain too much about that, as i am very keen on getting the new wheels on. With me ordering some new stuff for the 306, I thought why not buy that spare wheel helper, Mantec Tufflift 230. So that I can start to at least roll out a few more things. I will see about fitting my replacement wiper switch too, to see if I can get the rear wiper back in action again, if that doesn't fix the problem then its going to have to be another rear wiper motor.
I will have to buy a back box for this too, for the mot and give the rear brakes a bleed. Stuff I want to move on with but things are just that little to far. I want my tyres on!!!!! but looks like the little things have to come 1st, I may just look at the ICE upgrade for the min Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |
